Sophie & Danny were the lucky couple that won the Facebook Contest back in September. I didn't even know Sophie was pregnant when I randomly chose the winner so it was a funny coincidence.
Considering she loves Boston Terriers, I think she was more excited about playing along with my 2 little babies than the actual photo shoot. Nonetheless, we still spent about 2 hours in studio and I was able to capture Sophie's natural beauty and the special glow she takes to pregnancy so beautifully.
I'm including the ones with Bugger and Jazz below, just because I know it'll make her happy to see it up on my blog. Congratulations again to both of you and I can't wait to meet this lucky baby girl/ boy.

Oh my!!!  Pink cheeks, big blue eyes and giant flowers, Juliana was the cutest little girl on her birthday. She was full of smiles (and very few tears) after making a little mess with the (not so yummy) cupcakes.
She looked so tiny on the studio's new wooden chair and made us laugh as she held on to the side bars.
I am lucky to say I photographed her on her special day!

I've been waiting for Ariel and Gracie to come to the studio since she was 4 months pregnant.
Just a few days ago, I had the chance to photograph her perfectly round belly (with no stretch marks, I must add) and beautiful curves. The session had gone by so fast, and after many laughs, we realized we had more than enough poses.
I'm so excited for her to give birth to a tiny baby boy and even more excited to photograph him really soon.
Congratulations to both of you!

Arielle came in the studio last minute to have her photo session with her new baby girl. Only 18 days old, Eden was so sweet and calm. Until we undressed her...
Her cute little face and bluish eyes made it be totally worth the few cries though and after a few accidents, here is what we managed to get... Not bad. Not bad at all!
Thanks Arielle for your patience and I hope you enjoy those pictures for a long time to come!

Oh, and I would like to say thank you to Nonna Maria for the new knits! They worked perfectly!! :)

This was actually the beginning of me shooting babies/ kids on location. I was still testing a few things such as entertaining, posing, lighting, props... Considering I specialized in food and table top, this was a whole new and different world to me. Being able to connect with my subject and be creative on so many different levels, I loved it instantly!

These 3 little boys definitely took part in this process, especially that they made it slightly more challenging than expected!

Gotta love Zac's mini mohawk! I enjoyed working outside of the studio so much. I seem to appreciate the pictures that come out of it a little more for the simple reason that it is out of my in studio "comfort zone".  I also love the fact that I am able to offer something more unique, "more you" to my models.

The Sweet, sweet Butterfly series was done at the house as well and features Kyla. This little girl had the most gorgeous blond locks and was more than happy to show them off.

I love being able to capture the beauty of the mommy/ baby bond. At 2 weeks old, all you can hope for in the studio is for a sleeping baby, but Daniel was obviously fully awake. I thought it worked beautifully though... and I hope you guys enjoy this precious little gift....

This last picture was inspired by Uncle Pat. He's a cyclist! I thought it would be cute if we pretended, for just a few minutes, he followed in his footsteps... Thanks Daniel for doing so, beautifully.

Meet Bugger

Basically, meet my inspiration for having started pet photography. These two little brats !! Or... not so much. 

Taking pet portraits is not as easy as you think. Getting them to sit still is probably the hardest, especially if they're not well trained.

 But, bribing them with cookies will usually do the trick !

Besides for this cat....

Poukie came in last minute for her portrait to be taken. I thought she would be perfect for my "Seeing in Black and White" collection.  And, she was, except I didn't think she would refuse to get her shot taken and walked all around the studio besides for where she was supposed to.  

Oh, did I mention she was purring as she did that...

Chara, 3 years old and Looch, 2 years old, came in the studio in the beginning of the week. They had a lot to sniff all around, and considering my 2 dogs (Bugger and Jazz) were there too they got to all play and have fun, and I got to get some really good shots of the 4 of them!

And a few of both little boys...
